New Zealand is divided in regions for administrative purposes and Manukau Zone is part of the Upper North Island Region based at Motu Moana Scout Camp, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland. Manukau Zone

Manukau Zone delivers the Scout Programme to the community via 17 Scout Groups based in the following suburbs:
  • Waiheke Island
  • Beachlands
  • Howick
  • Pakuranga
  • Ormiston
  • Papatoetoe
  • Mangere Bridge

Manukau Zone was formed in 2006 under the leadership of Zone Leader David Thorpe. The Zone was formerly part of the Counties Manukau Scout Area led by Area Commissioner Bob Appleby and more recently by David Thorpe. In the 1970s and 80s it was known as Auckland South Zone led by Asst Area Commissioner Winston Miskelly.
